Karori Residents’ Association
The Karori Association wanted to begin 2019 with a fresh look. After five years in operation, they took the opportunity to look back on their achievements and successes in the largest suburn in Wellington, as well as their brand positioning.
During talks we agreed that a more people-centric approach was required. So I began by recommending a slight name change, adding in the word ‘Residents’ to their title. Then producing a series of visual brand assets, that when combined wouldn’t just more accurately portray their vision and values. But would also make them stand out among the many other brands in the region.
The logo contains a stylised figure representing the people they serve in Karori. The lush greens reflect the rich countryside and the green values they subscribe to. While the background ‘people matrix’ reinforces the fact that they are a community of members coming together to achieve greater things in an organised way. Which is further underpinned by their new Maori strapline: He waka eke noa – We’re all in this together.
